Step one is to go to your party’s Web site. See the list in the right hand column. In the case of the DFL, navigate to About the DFL/Resources for Party Units. There is a lot of good stuff there, including Precinct Caucus Documents. Among these is the new resolutions form. Or try here for another Acrobat version. For a Microsoft Word version that is easy to edit in digital format, look here.
Here is some good advice from a member of the DFL Platform Commission:
…As a member of the DFL State Platform Commission, I must point out
1- There is a newly adopted (by the state DFL Central Committee) resolution form which must be used. It can be downloaded from the DFL site…
2- On the new form, the resolution must appear on the front of the form and the whereases should be on the back of the same form.
3- The form must be filled out correctly and completely, including a tally of the caucus vote when it adopted/fails.
4- Only one resolution can appear on a form.
Please help make the Platform Commission job easier.
That’s good advice. Please follow the rules of your party to ensure full consideration of your resolution!
